BryGRIP is a combined building adhesive and sealant. BryGRIP offers almost limitless benefits both as an adhesive and a sealant removing the previous application barriers associated with conventional products.

What is BryGRIP used for?

The multi-faceted uses of BryGRIP means that is has almost limitless applications for builders, joiners, plumbers, electricians, and all other trades. It produces a quick and strong bond/seal without the use of additional fixings.

BryGRIP bonds to virtually any material. Its versatile nature means it is suitable for bonding and sealing both porous and non-porous surfaces.

When using any sealant or adhesive on a new material it’s advisable to test it on an inconspicuous area for marking and compatibility. It’s advisable not to use hybrid polymer adhesives on polythene safety backed mirrors, polypropylene or Teflon due to chemical reactions that may occur.

Typical sealant applications include sealing around windows/doors, sealing leaks, fixing sanitaryware and cladding. Due to the versatile nature of this hybrid polymer sealant its uses and potential are boundless.

BryGRIP as an adhesive is straightforward to use.

Applying as an adhesive:  Simply, apply BryGRIP using a standard sealant gun directly to back of one surface only, spaced at 30-40mm centres. Immediately place item into position and secure with good, even pressure and a slight twist action. For heavy duty items, provide temporary support until adhesive has dried.

BryGRIP is as simple to use as any other sealant.

Applying as a sealant: Keep an even pressure on the trigger and keep the gun at a constant angle to the surface being sealed. To ensure a proper bond, always smooth the sealant down with a spatula or piece of damp wood.

 

Advantages of Hybrid Polymer Sealants & Adhesives

High bonding strength

High bonding strength allows varying materials to be joined with security. Providing a large stress bearing area in comparison to mechanical fixings, which allows for a more secure finish.

While the bonding strength is high it is always advisable to provide additional support for large and heavy items while the adhesion process takes place.

Health and safety on jobs is important. Minimise health and safety risks when installing overhead items and extremely large mirrors by securing items with a mechanical fixing along side high strength adhesives.

Solvent free

Solvent free adhesives and sealants have a less environmental and health impact, than adhesives that include solvents. Volatile organic compounds produced by solvents can impact air quality which can have short term and long-term health effects.

Interior and exterior use

Waterproof and weather resistant once dry. BryGRIP can be used for internal and external projects making this a handy multifunctional product to house in your tool kit.

Quick curing

Fast curing lets you get on with the task at hand. BryGRIP cures at a rate of 1.5mm in depth per 24 hours.

Over-paintable

Keep your sealant and adhesive in keeping with the rest of your project. This hybrid polymer adhesive can be painted over providing a high-quality uniformed finish to your job.

Paints can vary in quality and type. It is advisable to test the compatibility of paint in a concealed location before use.

Resistant to temperature extremes -40 ^◦C to + 100 ^◦C

Protect your work from extreme temperatures. Sealants and adhesives that can be used both internally and externally, and therefore need to withstand variable temperatures. From snowy freezing outdoor conditions to provide a waterproof seal at warm temperatures around a shower BryGRIP is up to the task.

Resistant to chemicals and petrol

In an industrial setting protecting seals and adhesives from chemicals and petrols is vital. Hybrid polymer sealant can be used in areas likely to receive spills or on chemical tanks without risk of the seal or adhesion being damaged.

Excellent resistance to UV radiation

Sunlight and UV rays can lead to the degradation of plastics due to the absorption of UV rays. This is a slow process and happens over a long period of time. Photo-degeneration can be delayed significantly by using products that provide high UV resistance, saving time and money-making repairs.
